Whnever you’re ready to transition onto Medicare, here are the instructions for enrolling in Medicare Parts A and B.


You may begin the enrollment process up to three months before the date you want your Medicare coverage to start. We recommend applying early, as Social Security can take up to six weeks to finalize and

Next step

Original Medicare (Parts A and B) does not cover prescription drugs or out-of-pocket deductibles. You must choose a private insurance supplement to avoid penalties. This is where we help you find a plan to fit your needs.

  • Add Drug Coverage (Part D): Original Medicare does not cover prescriptions. You must choose and buy a private Part D plan to avoid future late penalties.
  • Choose a Path: Decide if you want to keep Original Medicare and add a Medigap (Supplement) policy, or if you prefer to bundle everything into a private Medicare Advantage (Part C) plan.
